Sermon Talkback
Devotional: Soulish response
Pastor Debs has been given an awesome Word about Body, Soul and Spirit and how we think we respond in Spirit to situations or even in our worship to the Lord. Quite a bit of the time our response is soulish. The soul is an area where the enemy has access to us through whatever means we allow him.. be it fear, anger etc, we give him legal right to us.
Devotional: The "Old" Nature
After Rev. Deborah Bell's sermon last Sunday night, I have been asking myself, over and over, why it is that we hold on to the old nature with such desperation, and why we cling to a life that leads to death. Is it because we still think that this life is all there is? Is it because we don’t want to understand that nothing from this world will go with us to heaven?
Devotional: Is it too easy?
The thing about Christianity that I just don’t get, is that people think it is too easy. How can serving and following God be so easy? We as people like to have things way too complicated. Things must be hard and difficult in order for us to think it is worth having or doing. People would rather bow to the east 12 times a day, because then it FEELS like they doing something, than just trust in the unseen faith they receive upon accepting Jesus as their Saviour.
Devotional: Where are your roots being fed?
I was looking at someone at works hair just now and you could see which roots had grown quicker than the others because the hair colour lower down was different to the rest of the hair. People colour their hair for different reasons, either to hide their age, or to get in with fashion or to simply cover up a previous bad dye job! The thing is, the root if it is being nourished will cause the rest of the hair shaft to grow and the colour will change at the root of the shaft and a new dye job will have to be done.
Devotional: Security Wise
In South Africa we are so security concious and i suppose all over the world people are security concious. We can spend thousands of Rands on equipment to protect our homes and "stuff". Last night Pastor Debs preached around Matthew 6:33 "Seek first the Kingdom of God and Gods righteousness and then all these things shall be added unto you"
Devotional: Something's got to give
What an amazing time we had in the Spirit! The prophetic worship enabled us to touch the heart of God as God released the glory of the Lord into our midst.
Altars, idols, religious spirits, bondages of all kinds were exposed and the journey to freedom started for many as we repented and fell facedown before God.
Do not miss this great outpouring of God's power and presence. You will NEVER be the same again as you are swept up in the spirit.
