This is a year to break old cycles. We need to set our minds on what the Spirit desires, and not what the sinful nature desires (Romans 8:4-17). We can't pretend we've moved on from where we were in the last season, and so God is calling us to live out our lives in authenticity and truth. To be authentic, we need the Holy Spirit - the Spirit of Truth - and God's supernatural power.

Intimacy with God can't exist outside of a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Religiosity is the evidence of us having surface relationships.  A religious spirit breaks our intimacy. We must not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Forgiveness doesn't happen based on our feelings. We will never really feel completely ready to forgive those that have hurt us. If we can hold onto the truth that forgiveness is not a feeling but a choice, it will help us to overcome our struggle against un-forgiveness. Our choice is made in a faith realm of the freedom that God promises us when we forgive one another. It is a faith decision to let go of the pain and to move forward in the freedom that comes from forgiving in faith.

God is holy, so to draw near to God, we need to pursue holiness. We must rid ourselves of our idols, purify ourselves and change our clothes (Gen 35:2). We need to cut off the things of the enemy that hinder us, and throw them away.

God desires for each of us to thrive. This is built on the foundational covenant made by God with Abraham & Sarah to bless their descendents. Thriving is not success alone, but includes success. We can be successful but not thrive! Thriving means that our environment is conducive to our growth, so that we may prosper in all that we do, as we inherit the blessings and promises of God.

To experience this, we must place every thing in our lives as an offering before the Lord, being fully agreeable with God. God's culture needs to influence us and our relationships. We are able to enter through the gates if we are willing to contend, and if we are obedient to leaving the old ways of the flesh behind. There is a new anointing that is equipping the church globally, which is releasing signs, wonders and miracles.

It is not our giving up of “things” in our lives that is important; but rather, it is the giving up of self to God, that is important. Christ emptied himself, gave up his divinity because of his love for us. He became the full expression to the world of God’s love. Our expression of love to God is the giving up of self, to God as an expression of our love for God, so that God can fill us with the inherant blessing and overflow that is promised.

God is raising a generation of Christian people that know the authority and power they have through the anointing of Christ. We must rid ourselves of the old wineskins and allow God to renew our minds..The breaker anointing is being released in the church to break the strongholds and oppressions in our lives. We experience God's power as we hear and obey God's revealed purpose for us.
