What does 2009 hold for us? Where is God taking us this year?
In the last few months, many of you have heard me speaking about the river of God, the season of Jubilee, and about the move from the natural realm into a realm of the Spirit where we can begin to take on a new authority in the Spirit, to move and shift boundaries in the supernatural that the enemy has laid claim to.

There are five key points that I want to share with you that I believe God is impressing on our hearts for 2009 concerning these areas:
 
1.    It’s a year for a new prophetic voice to arise from our Churches.
2.    It's the year for us to get into the river of life.
3.    It's the year that God is bringing a nurturing and maturing anointing on the Body of Christ.
4.    It’s a year of Jubilee - which in essence is God’s great grace.
5.    It's a year of the Plumbline being drawn.

1. It’s a year for a new prophetic voice to arise from our Churches    
Joe 2:28-29  'And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. (That’s grace) Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men & women will dream dreams, your young men & women will see visions.  (29)  Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

I believe that this year we are going to move into the supernatural more than the church has ever seen. God is positioning God's army. It is a season of transcending natural boundaries and a time to extend our territory. We need to let God's voice arise from within us and unleash our areas of gifting in the Body of Christ on a new level. Making declarations and knowing who we are in the authority of Christ is paramount in this year.

Isa 2:2  "And it shall come to pass  in the last  days..."  - "And it shall come to pass" is always prophetic, and we must be ready to form God's word in the earth through our prophetic utterance. You may not all be prophets, but as you open your mouths, you will all prophesy!  

2. It's the year for us to get into the river of life.
During the conference I spoke a word that God had given me in the months before from Ezek 47:1-12 about the River flowing from the throne room of God, which God is now opening up our understanding of on a deeper level. In Isaiah 2:2 the word "pass" means several different things. Moving from one state to another is one of them. This year being in God’s weighty presence is key; it is the most important thing you can do. The river symbolizes the presence, power, and the anointing of God. We must stay in the river and in the flow this year. I believe the Lord is showing us that we were about to enter a season of being immersed in the river. Only those in the river could survive the onslaughts over the enemy this year.

3. It's the year that God is bringing a nurturing and maturing anointing on the Body of Christ.
Last year we saw that God was preparing us. This year God is positioning us to prepare the way.
Mat 6:9-10  "This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Heavenly Parent in heaven, hallowed be your name,  (10)  your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We need to be positioned and ready this year for the harvest. These are days when God and God’s power will be exalted. (Job 36:22)

But we must to be in a place of maturity, and God is about to bring an acceleration of a nurturing and maturing anointing on this Body of Christ, to lead us into position for this next phase of both battle in the spiritual realm and blessing in every realm! We need to stir up the gifts and bring them to maturity.

4. It’s a year of Jubilee Which means great Grace
These are the "days of Elijah" - Zec 12:10  "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication." God's great grace is upon us this year.

Grace is divine favour. So no matter what the enemy throws at you you can be overcomers. God is pouring out an overcomer anointing on the Body of Christ, you just have to receive it - but you can only receive it by faith! It is a year of release for God’s people.

5. It's a year of the Plumbline being drawn
Isaiah 28:17 "I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line..."  In the last two years, God has been preparing us and showing us that this is a season that a line is being "drawn in the sand by God". This is the plumbline. The first part of this was a sifting taking place in the body. Now there is a separation that is taking place in the Body of Christ (the unrighteous here, are not those outside the Church but those within the Church). God is going to separate the wheat from the chaff, the righteous from the unrighteous, from within the Church.  

So get ready for great moves of God this year. The harvest is ready. We must be ready. God is giving us a great part of our inheritance this year. As we move in the flow of God's Spirit this year, God will pour out many new anointings. Fresh fire will come through God's Spirit to heal restore and replace the old with the new. God is about to birth great things in our lives and in this nation. People get ready, it is going to be one amazing journey. But don't forget to stay in the River!

I look forward to 2009 and what God has in store for us. Expect great signs and wonders and a great move of God's power to touch the earth this year.
