He has Risen!
In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!
(Luke 24:5-6)
When Jesus arose, he defeated the very pit of of hell and the curse of sin was broken. That means that you and I can live forever, in this life and the life hereafter, in victory through Christ.
The shackles have been broken and we are made free! Yet sometimes we live as though we are among the dead, and we walk in defeat and despair instead of joy, in spiritual death instead of spiritiual life. We are to be alive through Christ and dead to our sin; through his Spirit, the old has gone and the new in Christ has come to us.
We do not need to live in a spirit of hopelessness and loss, but in a place of hope and in a future of greatness. We are told to live in the promises that God has given us in the Word. We are not meant to live in the lies of the enemy, who will tell you there is no hope and that there is no future.
He is Risen and that means that we are alive through Christ's once and for all sacrifice as the Lamb of God, on the cross for us, and through his resurrection we can embrace a life of abundance.
We can declare that because Jesus has overcome the world there is nothing that we might go through that we cannot overcome through the power of the Spirit in our lives as born again believers.
Walk tall in your anointing and calling and know that the yolk of slavery has been broken and you are called sons and daughters of the most high God.
Hallelujah, Jesus is alive!
Amen and amen
