Worship in Everything
I came across a prophetic word that Eileen Fisher brought last year and one of the things she said was, “As you plant in worship, you will reap in answers.” I used to struggle with keeping up with worship when things weren’t going right or I needed to make a decision and thought God wasn’t answering me.
We often ask questions like: “why is this happening to me, Lord,” or “how can I fix this, Lord?” Well the answer is: to keep worshiping! When you keep on praising God, the enemy flees; the enemy cannot stand to be present in God’s presence. So keep worshiping!
God Word tells us this in a number of scripture and Psalm 34:1- 4 is one of them:
“I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with God’s praise. I live and breathe God; if things aren't going well, hear this and be happy:
Join me in spreading the news; together let's get the word out. God met me more than halfway; he freed me from my anxious fears.” (MSG)
I know it’s not easy because in our human nature we want to get all sulky when times are tough, but now’s the time to change that mindset. Show the enemy who’s in control!
And know and believe in what it says in verse 9, “Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all God’s goodness.”
So let those doors fling open as you sing, pray and speak out God’s praise all the time, in all circumstances. I am currently going through some challenging times and I have decided that I am going to worship my way through it!
If you too find yourself in trying times, I challenge you to do the same.
