Watching as We Build the Wall

This is a time to be alert and vigilant.  In this season that our Pastors at DGFC have shared about -- of raiding and plundering the enemy in taking back the harvest that God intended for us – we need to discern the enemy’s plans, and counter them with the strategies of Heaven, as we position ourselves to hear from the Holy Spirit.

When the prophet Nehemiah gathered the remnant of God’s people to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, they faced immense opposition.  Their enemies taunted them and schemed against them, to tear down their wall and bring confusion to them.

Neh 4:14 - Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the leaders and the people and said to them, "Don't be afraid of the enemy! Remember the LORD, who is great and glorious, and fight for your friends, your families, and your homes!" (NLT)

Our response needs to be the same: “Greater is God in us!”  The enemy is a liar and will try to confuse us and convince us that we are defeated, but his taunts are rendered moot as we recall God’s promises over our lives and over God’s people.

As we do the work of building the kingdom of God, we must be armed in the spirit, so that we may stand our ground.  Neh 4:18 says that as they built, “All the builders had a sword belted to their side” (NLT).

Let us advance God’s kingdom, reclaiming that which has been lost, as we rise up as overcomers by the blood of the Lamb.
