I have been one of those people who only know how to survive for most of my life. Everything had to be controlled and managed in such a way that it all just balanced and not affect those areas in my life that I just did not want to deal with.  My filing system was state of the art I tell ya! Everything packed into its little box and many of those boxes had a “do not disturb” sign on.

 

BUT God; don't you just love those words, had other plans. God started prompting me to start opening some of those "do not disturb" boxes. Needless to say, I was NOT keen at all.  They had those labels for a reason.  I decided to trust God and my leadership and slowly started opening some of those boxes.

 

Eeeeeeekkkkkk, that was not fun, but can I tell you that even though it was not easy, it started a healing process that has changed my life. In my 11 year walk with my current church; getting closer and closer to God in relationship I opened many more boxes.  It brought such healing, 

such freedom. I can't even describe to you how much better I started feeling not having to juggle so many of the “do not disturb” boxes and making sure everything is in its "proper" place (according to me anyway), I can honestly say it was EXHAUSTING to keep track of all the

little things I had to do to keep my state of the art filing system in tack.

 

It ran me ragged to just keep my head above water but I decided to STOP COPING AND START HEALING!  It has changed my life.  Once I let go of all that baggage, wow, I just started living.  I had way more space to think upon what is lovely as the word says (Phil 4:8), because I had head

space, I didn't have all this stuff going on in my mind that kept me from thinking about what God would want from me.  It was bliss to quiet all those voices in my head.

 

All I can say is people let God bring healing to your life, no matter how broken and sore you are God is bigger and greater than what you have to deal with.  Allow God to change you from the inside out! Allow God to turn your old life in for a kingdom life!  Take it from me, it is WAY better!

 

Mark 1:7b. -  “I'm baptizing you here in the river, turning your old life in for a kingdom life. His baptism-a holy baptism by the Holy Spirit-will change you from the inside out."
