Lately it seems the enemy has been busy trying to get to God’s people through infirmity. It’s just one of his tactics to slow us down in an attempt to throw us off-course and he’s hoping this will affect our worship! But this is exactly the time when we must push through and worship even harder because worship brings us into God’s presence and the enemy’s plans cannot succeed in God’s presence.

My sister has been in hospital for two weeks now after going in for a rather straightforward procedure that was only meant to be a three day stay. However complications arose, and now three more ops later she’s finally recovering. This I believe is due to much prayer and continuing to worship God’s goodness! I had told her she must constantly keep saying, “I am healed because God is good!” One of the many ways to worship God means you must keep claiming God’s promises into your life.

All healing comes from God whether it comes supernaturally or through a physician. God is still the source of our healing. So keep praising!

“Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things God does for me. God forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.” (Psalm 103:2-3, NLT)

I realise that it isn’t easy to be on top form with worshipping when you aren’t feeling well or in pain but I encourage you to keep speaking out your healing whether it be from a physical condition or an emotional one. Hold on to God’s Word in these trying times as it urges us to do in Proverbs 4:20-22 (NLT):

“My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.”

Spending time in God’s presence through having a regular quiet time, prayerful communication with God and being obedient to receiving God’s Word whether it be from a sermon at Church or an inspirational scripture someone emailed or just a friend speaking out an encouraging word of truth allow those who God has placed in your life to guide you. That is how we draw nearer to God so we can surrender all to God and this is when healing takes place.

Be healed and be whole in Jesus name!
