Pastor Debs has been given an awesome Word about Body, Soul and Spirit and how we think we respond in Spirit to situations or even in our worship to the Lord. Quite a bit of the time our response is soulish. The soul is an area where the enemy has access to us through whatever means we allow him.. be it fear, anger etc, we give him legal right to us.

We've been learning at home group about rejoicing in situations , not rejoicing about situations and I believe that it is about rejoicing in the Spirit and allowing our Spirit to affect our soul response to a situation not the other way around. As a home group facilitator, we teach these principles that the Word gives to us, but we have to apply it to our own lives. The Word is about actioning not just hearing.  At work, it has been a difficult time for me as we are facing retrenchments, uncertaintity of  our future. Now more than ever, the Lord is reminding me not to respond from my soul but to respond to this situation from my Spirit. The strongman of Fear which the enemy would use to cause havoc in my soul has been rising up, but God is telling me and perhaps some of you out there who are reading this post to rebuke it. Pastor Debs gave us such a powerful Word last night at our home group closing and that is this... The Blood of Jesus speaks a  BETTER Word than any other Word we may hear.

Whose report will I believe? I choose to believe the report of the Lord which says that my future is sealed in Christ and the promises and truth which the Word of God speaks over my life are real.

So maybe today you are reading this post and are going through a difficult time in your life, uncertainty. I want you to know this morning that when you trust in the Lord and keep your eyes fixed  on Jesus, keep your Spirit fixed on God.... you can rejoice in whatever you are going through. Also hold onto Romans 8:28 .. God works all things together for the good for those who love God and are called according to Gods purposes and plans :)
