We live to the Lord. Romans 14:8 If God wills it, each one of us might have entered into heaven at the moment of our conversion to Christ. Had the Lord willed it, God could have translated us into heaven instantaneously. So then, why are we still here? Would the Lord keep us out of heaven one minute longer than was necessary? Why is the army of the Living God still on the battlefield when one command from Gods mouth will gain us the victory? Why are we, Gods children, still wandering through a maze of this world when a sinlge word from the lips of Christ could bring us into the center of the our hope which lies in heaven? The answer is rather simple: we are here so that we may live to the Lord. By living to the Lord we allow others the opportunity to come to know the Lord who saved us and loves them, the sinners. We remain on the earth as sowers of the word, who scatter the good seed amongst the weeds, thorns and thistles. We remain on the earth as plowers, commanded to break up the fallow ground. We remain as heralds of the Good News and as voices to those who would hear the cry of Gods heart. We are here, or left behind, if you like, because we are here to glorify God in our daily lives notice the word daily. Not just sometimes or when the moodstrikes us, but daily. We are here as workers for Jesus and as workers together with Him. So let us live earnest, useful, holy lives to the praise of His glorious grace. [/][/]
