Sunday was the International Day Against Homophobia. Millions joined globally to raise awareness via the campaign, “Homosexuality Knows No Borders”.

This theme reflects the wonderful gospel: Jesus Christ knows no borders. Nobody is turned away at the cross, and whosoever may come, is welcome.

However, the evil one knows the power of a united body of Christ, and will do everything he can to keep us divided.

The struggle toward a united church began as far back as the early church of the first century. As the Apostle Paul pioneered bringing the good news of Christ, not only to the Jews, but to the Gentiles also, he was brutally persecuted by church authorities.

But from generation to generation, we are seeing an increase of inclusivity rising up in the Body. Gradually, we as God’s children are gaining ground for the Kingdom!

(Eph 2:13-14, NIV) "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility."

Jesus is the bridegroom, and we as the church are the bride, waiting to be united when He returns. But first, the Church must be one. We must become a spotless bride, with arms wide open.

Years ago, when I thought God rejected me for being gay, God showed me that I belong in the Kingdom, and led me to my spiritual home at DGFC. And so God is calling every one of us back into the Church, so that we may stand and be counted.
