How do we remain standing?

Whilst dealing with defeat in our lives, how do we remain standing when everything we know and understand is under threat, when it seems like the promises of God will never come to pass, and when it seems like nothing makes sense and there is confusion everywhere we turn?
I’m so grateful that I’ve also learnt over the last 10 years, that there is just one place to go, when the world seems upside down, inside out and totally crazy! On my knees before God, nothing ever seems as bad as the enemy in this world would like me to believe.
The other most important and helpful thing to get us through a hard time, is having a loving family in God. I stay very close to those in my God-family when the chips are down; fellowship with them almost always helps me see a brighter day. They are wonderful in supporting me and helping me keep focus. We see the worst-case scenario but God and those not so affected by the situation always show us the best-case scenario.
I love what Romans 12:1-2 says about giving every part of our lives to God:
“Here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for God. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what God wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
So if you are in a place of despair or you’ve lost all hope, or are dealing with sadness, loss or anything else, remember God is with you. If you have ever doubted whether God cares about every detail of your life, re-read the above scripture and add the following scripture into the mix, 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on God because God cares for you.”
It is written, now believe it and live it! I will speak it out and live it!
