“Come near to God and God will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." (James 4:8, NIV)

A song was written by Kelly Carpenter titled “Draw Me Close To You". This has for a long time been one of my favourite songs. It just draws me into the heart of God, into the deepness of God. I think about this song and it’s like I can imagine God saying these words to me and to you.

I praise God that Kelly carpenter wrote and recorded this song. It speaks to many people. Did you notice the latter part of the scripture? We need to wash our hands and purify our hearts! When we draw near to God, there is a cleansing of the soul, emotions and heart. It is like a flood gate that opens up so that God's glory just comes over you removing the things that have been strongholds.

You're all I need Lord in a world where so much hurt takes place. You are and will always be my refuge. Thank You for always being there for me and for loving me. In situations where my heart was breaking, Lord You have been the constant healer.
I pray for those people who are reading this post, who have been or are going through events in their life that have seemed to be unbearable. I ask Lord God that You would take them in the palms of Your hands and touch them right now. As they draw close to You, may Your unending loving kindness embrace them. Your glory be revealed Lord and your divine cleansing unfold over the lives of all Your children, God.
