Psalm 37:4 - “Delight yourself in God and God will give you the desires of your heart.” (KJV)

I love this scripture. It has spoken to me on so many occasions and was significant for me when I was living the single life.

This past weekend the Spirit of God was saying to us to allow our hearts to be captivated to God. Allow God to be the one that consumes us with God's love. There is nothing more satisfying than being captivated by God's love. God's love fills every place of our heart and our spirit if we would allow God to do that.

There are so many areas of our lives that can be captivated by other things that only satisfy us temporarily.
I wonder sometimes whether we have lost our affection for our first love, Jesus Christ, when I look at the things that people I have known have turned to. We profess to love Jesus but then we can't even offer up our whole hearted praise to the One who has given us life. We are far more comfortable sitting in our own space filling ourselves with mindless pleasures instead of seeking out the pure love and joy that Jesus gives.

The testimony of my journey with Christ to where I am now,is one that is filled with reminders of how God has filled my every desire as I have been faithful to work through my issues and to move past my hang ups. I need not look too far to see what Christ has done in my life and I believe it would be the same for

We know what it is to be touched by the Spirit of God, we know… but we forget very quickly.

Today, invite the Spirit of God to come and touch you, to captivate your heart and as you do this, lay everything before God. It's time!

Blessings

God grant me the serenity to accept the the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
