Are you an Ostrich??
In our new exciting home group series "40 days of love" by Pastor Rick Warren, he asks the question whether we are a turtle or a skunk. This meaning, as a turtle we hide in a shell and don't confront or as a skunk we let it all out and confront. You "air" what nobody else is wanting to say. How many of us are Ostriches where we hide our head in the soil trying not to be aware of what is going on around us?
The Lord is always speaking ot us about the harvest. It is something which i believe is engrained on our hearts. We read in 1 Chronicles 11:13-14 that King David and some of his garrison positioned themselves in the middle of a barley field. They were defending it against the Philistines and killed them for encroachig on their harvest.
It would have been easier for David to just have not bothered but he knew that the Lord had given him victory and he was not afraid to put his blood, sweat and tears into defendng what he knew was not the enemies.
Are we like Ostriches when it comes to the harvest? Do we pretend that we don't see the enemy attacking what we know God has given to us or are we like David and defend the harvest ?
It is time to pull your head out of that hole ( be it depression, nonetheless attitude, fear, time availability etc) and start to take up your sword of the Spirit and shield of faith and begin to stand your ground. Your hands in the field makes a HUGE impact!
Remember that if you look up, you will see stars but if you keep your head in the soil , all you will see is dirt! :)

"Lord, help us to focus on what is really important in our lives. Help us to prioritize correctly and to accomplish all You want us to in this journey on earth.
May we seek out being living examples of how Jesus loved - not in our strength, but in Yours! In Jesus Name. Amen."
Psa 21:13 Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength; we will sing and praise your might.
